3 weeks after the devastating tsunami in Japan, rescue teams found a very unlikely survivor; a dog amongst wreckage that had floated out to sea. Much like humans, dogs can go weeks without food, but only a few days without water. The question remains – how did he survive? He couldn’t have survived off of salt water, because he would have died from dehydration. Due to the amount of rain endured over the last few weeks, scientists believe he lived off of pools of rain water collected throughout the dog’s floating wreckage.
