Call me a geek or a bookworm..... but yeah unlike other people who would say DisneyLand....., my happiest place on earth is either in a bookstore or a library where I can indulge in reading a good book, be peaceful, meditate, think, emote, and be able to wonder and experience different worlds! I am soooo in love with the smell of books. Every after lunch, my officemates and I would go to this bookstore at the ground floor of Megamall and browse through all the newly delivered and on-sale books. They are cheaper like 50%-70% cheaper because they are second hand but still in very good condition. I dunno what spells do these books hold on me, but I can spend a whole day inside a bookstore browsing titles and reading novel synopsis without getting bored. I am usually attracted on fiction and suspense novels and self-help books. (I am NOT into romantic novels and I secretly loathe seeing Danielle Steel and Harlequin ones..... I dunno why. Maybe because I already know that there are no happy endings..... only happy and contented couples. Naks!)
By the way, I am a sucker for Anne Rice novels and Harry Potter Books (I own 2 hard bound HP books and plan to complete them - the hardbound ones, eventhough I've read the whole series over and over years ago). Also, Sweetiepie♥ bought me the whole 4 books of Twilight but found them too boring that it took me 2 years to finish reading them. Last Christmas, my bestfriend Mae gave a Sophie Kinsella novel (Remember Me) as a gift and I only finished reading it last month. It seems to me that the older I get, the harder it is to stay awake reading one book! Sign of aging na ata to! O_O Anyhow, I'd probably post some book review of that novel but I'm still finding a time to write a good one. Too busy these days. An officemate lent me 2 Sophie Kinsella novels (Can you Keep a Secret and Undomestic Goddess) and they are still on my lists of books to finish. My goal is to get them back within this month. 2 books in 1 month not bad eh? (That's if I can squeeze them with blogging, movies, tv series, and sharepoint projects at work!). Another weird fact 'bout me, 3 of the items in my "To do list before I die" is to finish reading all of Anne Rice novels, finish reading all the list of Classical Books, and finish reading all the books that Jose Rizal read. Quite a task eh?....Something to look forward to as I get older. ^_^
