Happy New Year! Happy New Me!

Hello Gorjuz! I know! I know! It's been a very very long time! I have not written a blog post for half a year! @_@  Sobra!  I've been meaning to get back to blogging though! Sobrang dami kong gustong i share at isulat but I have not found the time to sit back and write. I am not sure if I still have it in me. Napabayaan ko masyado ang blog ko. I've let every exciting moment and every opportunity pass. Sobrang na down ako last year kaya di nakapag sulat ulet. But hey! I'm back and better than ever!

Thank you Lord for all the blessings and for the wonderful family and friends that I have! Happy New me!

The New Face of Makati Medical Center

Do you like hospitals? I don't! I feel threatened whenever I see a hospital. I fear going to a hospital. Napaka depressing ng feeling. Partly because, sabe ng mama ko, I grew up in a hospital. Isa akong hikaing bata at walang linggo na di ako nasusugod sa Hospital ng Maynila. Last April,... I visited an old building along Buendia which I used to frequent dati. I can help but be amazed....

Dear Makati Medical Center,

Dati, 7 years ago ata.... ganito pa itsura mo...bukod sa panaka nakang pag bisita ko sayu due to Tonsilitis at Flu, dalawang major event sa buhay ko ang nasaksihan ng Emergency lobby mo. Una, nung sumugod sa ospital mo ang mama ko for an operation that threatened her life. Second was when you admitted me for a torn ACL accident. I was impressed by your cheerful nurses and very helpful doctors even by then.

Ngayun.... April 2011.... Nag pa facelift ka na pala?
Impressive na ang lobby mo sobrah! May Seattle's Best Coffee, Burger King at Dairy Queen pa. Nakakita din ako ng David's Salon! Di ko tuloy alam kung nasa airport ba ko, mall o hospital nung binisita kita.

You know naman na I hate hospitals because of their smell ... but this time kape na ng Seattle's ang naaamoy ko sa lobby nyo MMC ha.

Yes, impressive ka. Sobrah. Next year, in Lord's due time, papareserve ako sa isa sa delivery rooms mo MMC ha.  ^^

When a Girl Cries...

When a girl cries for a boy, it means she misses him a lot.

But when a boy cries for a girl, it means no one in this world could ever love that girl more than this boy does.

and then I saw a man cry for me and I realized he must've love me that much to show that I was his weakness...

And then I married him.

Reyane's Online Shoppe is back with Human Heart♥ Nature!

Happy February 20, 2011!

Today is the day that I re-launch my online shoppe Reyane Haven! I started this shoppe May 2009 wherein I opened offering pre-loved products, bargain finds and brand-new affordable bags. It was a hit! most of my products sold. However, I changed my career / day job that required me to adjust. I became hectic and somewhere along I was not able to update products and the online shoppe became stagnant.

So many exciting changes happened to me since the start of the year and I'm counting on my luck, my inspirations and my determination to succeed in this year of the rabbit 2011.

Allow me to introduce one of my projects and challenge this year. REYANE'S ONLINE SHOPPE is now in Facebook! Please like my page and receive updates on new and awesome products that I will be adding to the shoppe this year.

My goal is to bring to you a choice of the nicest products and bargain finds in the comfort of your home and time. Please check my photo albums. You might be interested with the awesome products I offer. Happy shopping!

Products that I am selling on my online shoppe are from, Human Heart Nature.

My passion to be a dealer of Human Heart Nature began when one of my pregnant best friend asked me if I know some organic products she can use. She started living healthy when she decided to get pregnant. As we know, some of the toiletries that we daily use are made of harmful chemicals. My friend wanted something that will not only keep her and her baby safe from harmful chemicals but also protect the environment. We  both support this advocacy. Another officemate introduced me to Human Heart Nature. She brought some sample products and I fell in love instantly with their luxury body scrub and body butter. The next day I dragged my Sweetypie to Gandang Kalikasan Inc.'s head office to sign up as a dealer. I fell in love with the store and their products. Aside from the fact that they are 100% No Harmful Chemicals, the products are Philippine made and supports Gawad Kalinga. It is also note worthy that GKI's staff are approachable and kind. I left with a loot bag of products that I can't wait to share with my friends.

display of yummy fragrant organic products
I will be uploading more awesome products meanwhile please click on this link and LIKE my page. It would be a great favor too if you would check and consider using the organic products in my albums.

Happy February 20!

Thoughts to Ponder About Priorities

I was asked today by someone if I live na in the US.... I answered no and asked her what made her think I am. She said because parang lage daw ako nasa US.. I told her that was just trainings. She asked me again why not mag apply daw ako and dun na mag work. I said, if an opportunity knocks, why not! But right now, it is not in my priority. I am happy here in the Philippines where I am with my family and dogs. My hubby working abroad is quite enough. If only theres a choice, I'd begged my husband to be here na lang and stay but sayang ang work and kita nya.

Besides, hindi din naman ganun kadali mag work abroad. Some people will think masarap ang buhay sa ibang bansa but I can say it is not! Mahirap ang buhay sa ibang bansa. One is lucky if they'd found work in the US because it is a democratic and free country. But think about what is happening now in Egypt. Paano na ang mga Pilipinong na trap sa gulo dun ngayon? How about our Middle East OFWs? We don't know gaano ang hirap nila na dinaranas for dollars na kikitain while away from their families.

I do think na although sige ang pagtaas ng mga bilihin sa Pinas at paglubog ng ekonomiya, kung magsisipag lang at magtutulungan, I still think I can raise a good family in the Philippines. At this point in my life, I believe family is more important than money.

How about you? What are your priorities in life right now? Whether it be Love, Friendship, Work, Family, Health or Money, please do let me know and share it in the comment box below.

Moimoi, my Happy Happy Shih Tzu

Last year, we bought a shih tzu from my colleague. I begged my hubby to buy me one para naman I have kasama sa bahay while he is away. It was such a fun when I posted on FB a poll for his name. My friends voted on choices like Boknoy, Mikmik or Potchie. And then I named him Moimoi. He was such a cute and happy puppy.
who says playing while eating should not be done?
He likes to sleep infront of my computer screen on top of my table whenever I slack around the house and just surf the net all day.
Baby, stop droooling!
During my times of sadness because Sweetiepie was not here with me, Moimoi was my comfort and stress reliever. One time, I went home from work feeling stressed and so sad, while watching tv and thinking about my hubbby, tears started falling. When Moimoi saw that I was silently weeping, he did the sweetest thing of just sitting beside me, putting his paws on my lap and like a small child comforting me turned his happy happy face  on! It made me smile!

Isn't he soooo adorable?
He is part of my family now. Sweetiepie♥ loves him so much they play catch ball everyday. My mom and brother loves MoiMoi too that they wanted him to stay in Cavite na with them. Ayaw ko nga! Paano naman ako? Wala ako kasama sa apartment ko!?

Who cares baby! I wanna marry you!.. ♥

Hellloooo!!! It's me! I'm back.

Where do I begin? A lot has happened to me last month and this month that I am still reeling!

Guess who's got married!? Yeaaaabaaah! ^_^  *sabay cartwheel*

Yes! I am now officially hitched! Before the whole kwento and blow by blow account of the 5 days processing, preparation and challenges before the wedding, here is a little presentation I made for you.

Coming Home

You aren't really whole until you've found someone to come home to.
Come take my hand.

Or until that someone has found you....
"Bakit nananaba ka?.... lumalaki..... bumibilog..... at unti unti nagiging MUNDO ko!...."
PS. I will blog about everything. I am just finding a time to organize my thoughts.

Wait for Me (Lyrics)

Have you ever been far away from your love one that you find it hard to go on everyday without them? I experienced that when i was a kid... My mom had to send me somewhere far to study. I had to endure crying every night to sleep and wishing the days would go faster. And when after a very looooong time of not seeing someone you love then you see them again. You lock them in a very tight embrace and crying and wishing that they'll never have to go away and be far from you anymore.

I would probably be experiencing the same feelings when Sweetiepie♥ finally comes home. I miss him so much everyday that I wanted to pick him out from my dreams and hug him tight.  I soooo wish he is thinking of me and missing me too. I imagine him while listening to this song. When I accompanied him to the airport last July 22, he hugged me so tight and kissed me twice while whispering .... "Wait for me" ...... I was trying to be strong and forcing myself not to cry. I wouldn't want him to cry too. He told me to wait for him.... and I will.  (Now I am crying! T_T)

"But it helps me on those lonely nights...
It's that one thing that keeps me alive...
Knowing that you wait for me...
Ever so patiently."

Seeing this compilation of homecoming videos made me cry. T_T

Wait for Me -
Theory of A Deadman

You are not alone tonight
Imagine me there by your side
It's so hard to be here so far away from you
I'm counting the days till
I'm finally done
I'm counting them down, yeah, one by one
It feels like forever till I return to you
But it helps me on those lonely nights
It's that one thing that keeps me alive

[Chorus:]
Knowing that you wait for me
Ever so patiently
No one else knows the feeling inside
We hang up the phone without saying goodnight
Because it's the sound of your voice that brings me home
It's never been easy to say
But it's easier when I've gone away

[Chorus:]
Knowing that you wait for me
Ever so patiently
Yeah, you're everything I've ever dreamed of having and
It's everything I need from you just knowing that you wait for me

[Bridge:]
What I'd give
What I'd do
Knowing I'm not there for you
Makes it so hard to leave
What I'd give
What I'd do
Anything to get me home to you
And this time I'll stay
And you wait for me
Ever so patiently
Yeah, you're everything I've ever dreamed of having and
It's everything I need from you just knowing that you wait for me

Something to Smile Today: Pug Sings Batman

Oh well, I'm quite sad since Monday. Been crying and into emote mode because Sweetiepie♥ will be leaving for a 9 months international work abroad. My eyes are already red and I need something to smile today. I should be happy for him.... I should be happy for us! And oh!... yeah..... pumayag na siya for me to buy another dog to be my companion sa house while he is away. Si Bachie - my labrador is in my mom's house kase. I'd probably buy a Shih Tzu and call him Potchie or Pot Pot. I'd probably buy him a carrier bag so that I can bring him whenever I go and every weekends to visit my mom, bro and bachie.
Anyhoo..... I think I should just save the crying for tomorrow when I accompany Sweetiepie♥ to the airport. Let me smile today..... found a video of a pug singing Batman! Funny! :D

Money Saving Tips

When life gives you lemons..... make grape juice. Then sit back and watch the world try to figure out how the f*ck you did it.
I have to confess something. I have been having some financial woes lately. I am quite problematic due to credit card debts and loans. Aside from that, the person I share my apartment with resigned from his work and went in-between jobs for more than a month. This left me shouldering alone the monthly rent and home utility expenses. I am quite stuck and hanging by a few amounts in my savings. I am really trying to cope up right now and finding a way to make my way back to financial independence. For more than a month now I am constantly regulating all my expenses by making a monthly expense tracker and living the life of frugality. I learned to take packed lunches to work and save half of my weekly budget. Then for transportation expenses to work, I quit riding cabs and took the most economical transport mode. I also gave up on weekly dining out and watching movies instead I watch movies online or shared from friends. I also implement a "no-spending" day for the week. Hopefully, by following these simple money saving tips I can get back on track.

1. Don't buy new electronic gadgets just because your friends have the latest and greatest. If your old cellphone still works, keep using it.

2. Try to go an entire weekend without eating out, shopping or buying something either personal or online. Instead make your meals at home and go for walks.

3. Eat at a newly opened restaurant. You will likely get more discounts and specials and have a chance to try something new.

4. Pay your credit card debt on time each month to avoid late charges.

5. Learn how to cook, so you can make your own meals at home and not have to spend money on eating out all the time.

6. Put your cash windfalls or bonus money immediately into your savings account to maximize the interest.

7. Download movies or borrow DVDs from the neighbors or friends instead of going out to the movies.

8. Save water by spending just enough time in the shower to be clean and don't run water when you are shaving or brushing your teeth.

9. If you can bike or walk to work or school do so. It can save you a lot of money on gas and help you get in good shape too.

10. Make sure your freezer is full. An empty freezer requires more energy to keep cold.

11. If possible, live in an area with cheaper cost of living.

12. Turn off your TV, bedroom light and computer when not in use. Also unplug appliances when not in use to avoid "vampire" electricity. Even if turned off, plugged electronic devices still eats up power.

13. Buy store brand products whenever you can. Most of the time, they are just as good as the leading brand and are much cheaper.

14. Use cash instead of credit card to make big purchases. This will make you think twice about that purchase. Plus you can never overspend.

15. When you are shopping in the store, look for items in the lower shelves for better deals. Eye-level items are often more expensive.

16. If you don't watch that much TV, don't sign up for cable. Stick with your local channels and still get all the news you need.

17. Give up expensive habits such at cigarettes, alcohol, shopping as a therapy and dining out with family during paydays. It's both economical and healthy.

18. When eating out, divide entrees in half and save the rest for a second meal.

19. Make meals that are left-over friendly, like soups and casseroles.

20. Switch to CFL (compact flourescent light) lighting inside and solar lighting outside. You will be amazed how much energy you save.

21. Never buy anything on impulse, even if the item is on sale. If you don't really need it, just walk away.

22. Add water to your dishwashing soap to get more uses.

23. Only withdraw money from ATM machines approved by your bank in order to avoid unnecessary fees.

24. Do free things regularly such as hiking, walking in a park of going to the beach.

25. Check out your local thrift store and garage sales for furniture, garden supplies, clothes and other items.

26. Pick up fun and cheap hobbies like reading, gardening, cooking or blogging.

27. Limit your use of disposable things. For example, dry your dishes with a dishtowel instead of paper towels.

28. Borrow books from a public or school libary instead of buying them. Make sure to return them on time to avoid late charges.

29. Don't go grocery shopping when you're hungry. You tend to buy more things that you don't need on an empty stomach. And always bring a grocery list and follow that list no matter what items are on sale.

30. Go green. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle as often as possible.

31. Simplify your beauty and hygiene products. Only buy essential items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and deodorant.

32. Go to a farmers market for fresh and in-season produce. You can save money and at the same time support your local farmers.

33. Limit your eating out to special occasions only (e.g. Birthdays, Anniversaries)

34. Buy clothes that are easy to coordinate. This way, you can mix and match them and won't need to buy as many clothes.

35. Learn how to fix things around your house, so you don't have to pay an expert each time something breaks.

Christmas Theme

I love throw pillows and red... So even if I was not able to setup my Christmas lights for this year... I tried my best to decorate my apartment.

Father's Day

Today, I am giving a shout out to my blogger friends who are fathers and to my friend's daddys. Some even proudly posted pics of their fathers. Enjoy this special day for you and cherish each moment with your family.

I will not elaborate why I am only greeting fathers of my dear friends and not mine. Below are some quotes of my previous posts to give you an idea why today is not that special for me and not celebrated on my calendar.

I wish that "someone out there" was also keeping pictures of me... thinking about me, like i am thinking about him now. Does he miss me? Does he want to hug me and tell me stories too? I guess I wouldn't know until the fateful day we meet again... someday, somewhere in the right time and in the right place. When all wounds have been healed and all pains have been erased. - Reyane's thoughts on KC meets up with Dad

... hindi ko na maririnig yung nakakatawa nyang pananagalog para maintindihan ko. Nanghihinayang ako kasi hindi ko natupad yung promises ko sa kanya na bibilhan ko sya ng inom. ... and I consider myself so lucky to have been blessed by a very loving Tatay Emin(my Grandpa). Tay, nasan ka man ngayun.... i love you po... and I'm happy na kasama mo na si Lord. Na mimiss kita... *tears* - Reyane's thoughts on Mourning

Beeeday and Mom Day

May 2007, I spent my birthday in St. Louis, Missouri since I was out of the country.

May 2008, there was a triple celebration. My brother graduated from college, it was mom's day and my birthday. We spent it swimming with a few of my cousins and mom's friends.

This year, 2009, I opted to celebrate it with my family. My mom, my bro and my life partner was with me on my special day. My mom wants to cook but I told her that we should go out and dine.

I challenged them for 2 games of bowling. ^_^ ahaha! And I lost.

Si hon, medyu addict na sa bowling while my brother played it for the first time. Bonding moments kami. It was fun.

Then we went to Kenny Rogers for dinner.

I used to order their solo plates but this night we tried their Healthy Plate and Protein Plate. I love their salad and the rosted chicken. I only spent less than Php1,000.00 for those. 2 Healthy Plates and 2 Protein Plates. It includes salad, chicken, fruits, muffin and ice tea. I also ordered extra side dishes of corn and carrots and baked cheese macaroni. For the dessert we ordered Chocolate mouse.

Happy Eatin'!

How much do you Spend at your Birthday?

Pinoys have this culture of always celebrating. We have a numerous holidays, fiestas around the country and birthdays are not excluded in the celebrations. Birthday celebrations now adays are not cheap. If you have a lot of friends with different group denominations, it can even get more expensive. Barkadas can require you to have a drinking session at a bar or maybe a video-oke over night at your house.

You celebrate with your family, you celebrate at your office and you celebrate with your friends. With the financial crisis worldwide and job lay-offs here and there, once could not help but to think twice in spending their hard earned moolah.

This year, my birthday happens to be on a Monday so I have applied for a vacation Leave from work. Last Thursday May 7, I advance celebrated my birthday at the office with some of my close friends. (Charm! sori.. di ko alam kung nasan ka). Mga mare ko'y pagpatawad nyo na ako kung ako'y nagkukuripot. ^_^ I was able to spend only less than 2 thou. Gemma helped me call a Pancit bihon delivery for 1 bilao good for 20 persons where we spent PhP890.00. Then I bought a Strawberry Cake from Goldilocks for PhP305.00. I also added 2 whole Roasted Chicken bought at the supermarket for PhP 135.00 each. Then Sese, Gemma and Mitzi contributed 2 gallons of ice cream, a pistachio and chocolate flavored. Thanks mga mare! ^_^ Nabusog naman sila.

I am not sure on celebrating my birthday with my soul sisters-Remyxx since I have not heard from them for a long time. Mae is in US. Hazel and Ivy are busy with work. While Mhe-ann and Lucky are preparing for their weddings.

Today, the day of my birthday, I would like it to be very simple. I would only celebrate it with my mom, my bro and my hon. Maybe cook a simple dinner for four. I am budgeting around 2 thousand. This is enough for me to celebrate it with my love ones.

.Bachie and Me.

Charm and Mitzi has been telling me to watch this film "Marley and Me". It stars Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. My friends said that when they watched the movie, they thought about me and Bachie -my yellow labrador retriever that I usually refer to as my "anak". I search the net and found the trailer of that movie here.

MARLEY AND ME MOVIE

Watching the movie trailer, I can't help but giggle to all the funny scenes that made me think of Bachie. Marley is so much like my baby Bachie. They destroy anything in sight especially shoes, slippers and throw pillows. They both are afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks. They love to play with water... And they like to run and chase everything that is moving.

I think this is a nice movie, and I'm hoping Hon and I could find a time this weekend to watch it together. We can't watch it tomorrow since he will be attending some training for this week. So I will have to wait 'till weekend.

I also found out that there is a book with the same title that has been printed 2005. I'm gonna drop by tomorrow at Fullybooked and grab a copy of this one. ^_^ I read from reviews that it is a good book.

These past few weeks, I have been thinking of selling my Lab. I'm worried that she is taking so much of my mom's time and much of my hard earned cash. Imagine having to allot a separate budget that is much more than what a sack of rice costs just for her dog food only for a month. I know I should have thought about it before adopting her. Having a dog is like having a child. She needs a lot of attention as well as care and training. Most of these days, I could not find a spare time to read a book, what more to care and take a spoiled Labrador bratinella like Bachie to a daily walk. ^_^ But you know what is good about her? Her just being there. Always following me, or sitting or looking at me with her puppy eyes as if saying... Mom, you look tired? Dyou need a hug? awwww! She is soo adorable. Most of the time, she drives me and my mom crazy of her pagpapasaway. But after all the scolding session, she will just lay on her huge belly then make a "malalim na buntonghininga" where I would just giggle and laugh at her. She looks very convincing kasi sa kanyang pag papaawa-look. ^_^

Here are some of her pics...
Bachie and her brother before I adopted her.

Here is bachie now pag napapagalitan...

Here is my Bachie with Hon... (gapos namin kasi she runs away twing malalaman pinipicturan sya)

More Pics of my baby Bachie from being a cute furball of happiness growing up to be the now attention-loving and hug-addicted part of my family.

Here is a link of another post I made about Bachie ...
Bachie

Her 1st year birthday is coming up soon. I wish I could throw a party for her. If I do that... Daisy, Charm, Mitzi and Mae, as being her "Ninang" would you go and see her please? Sis Mae, I know you are afraid of dogs... but atleast... send a gift na lang.. Hahaha! :P
