The New Face of Makati Medical Center
Do you like hospitals? I don't! I feel threatened whenever I see a hospital. I fear going to a hospital. Napaka depressing ng feeling. Partly because, sabe ng mama ko, I grew up in a hospital. Isa akong hikaing bata at walang linggo na di ako nasusugod sa Hospital ng Maynila. Last April,... I visited an old building along Buendia which I used to frequent dati. I can help but be amazed....
Dear Makati Medical Center,
Dati, 7 years ago ata.... ganito pa itsura mo...bukod sa panaka nakang pag bisita ko sayu due to Tonsilitis at Flu, dalawang major event sa buhay ko ang nasaksihan ng Emergency lobby mo. Una, nung sumugod sa ospital mo ang mama ko for an operation that threatened her life. Second was when you admitted me for a torn ACL accident. I was impressed by your cheerful nurses and very helpful doctors even by then.
Ngayun.... April 2011.... Nag pa facelift ka na pala?
Impressive na ang lobby mo sobrah! May Seattle's Best Coffee, Burger King at Dairy Queen pa. Nakakita din ako ng David's Salon! Di ko tuloy alam kung nasa airport ba ko, mall o hospital nung binisita kita.

Typhoon Preparedness Tips
Another "Ondoy" like typhoon is coming. In critical times like this, preparedness is the key.
Typhoon Preparedness Tips
Typhoon Preparedness Tips
Before the typhoon:
1. Store an adequate supply of food and clean water. Prepare foods that need not be cooked.
2. Keep flashlights, candles and battery-powered radios within easy reach.
3. Examine your house and repair its unstable parts.
4. Always keep yourself updated with the latest weather report.
5. Harvest crops that can be yielded already.
6. Secure domesticated animals in a safe place.
7. For fisher folks, place boats in a safe area.
8. Should you need to evacuate, bring clothes, a first aid kit, candles/flashlight, battery-powered radio, food, etc.
During the typhoon:
1. Stay inside the house.
2. Always keep yourself updated with the latest weather report.
3. If safe drinking water is not available, boil water for at least 20 minutes. Place it in a container with cover.
4. Keep an eye on lighted candles or gas lamps.
5. Do not wade through floodwaters to avoid being electrocuted and contracting diseases.
6. If there is a need to move to an evacuation center, follow these reminders:
• Evacuate calmly.
• Close the windows and turn off the main power switch.
• Put important appliances and belongings in a high ground.
• Avoid the way leading to the river.
After the typhoon
1. If your house was damaged, make sure that it is already safe and stable when you enter.
2. Beware of dangerous animals such as snakes that may have entered your house.
3. Watch out for live wires or outlet immersed in water.
4. Report damaged electrical cables and fallen electric posts to the authorities.
5. Do not let water accumulate in tires, cans or pots to avoid creating a favorable condition for mosquito breeding.
Sign of the Times: UFO Sightings All Over the World
Is it just me, or is it because I was scaredy obsessed watching Final Destination, Doomsday, Independence Day, The Day after Tomorrow and 2012 movies..... is it just me realizing the constant news about volcanoes being active, earthquakes, tsunamis changing earth's landscapes, sinkholes, and weather changes...
….The "DISASTERS" that are coming.... the military and "GOVERNMENT" knows about them... and there's a lot of SAFE AREAS in this WORLD that they could begin moving the POPULATION TO NOW... but they are not doing anything they want those major population centers WIPED OUT... so that the few that are left will be more easily CONTROLLABLE…. (transmition lost)
Scaredy Times Ahead: Taal Volcano continues to show heightened activity
MANILA, Philippines -- Restive Taal Volcano in Batangas province continues to show heightened activity, a day after the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) raised the alert level over the volcano.
''The volcano's seismicity, ground deformation and carbon dioxide content remain high. We will continue to observe if the volcano's activity will intensify in the next days. But for now, Alert Level 2 remains hoisted over Taal Volcano,'' Phivolcs science research specialist Jojo Cordon said.
In its latest volcano bulletin, Phivolcs detected six volcanic earthquakes around the Taal Volcano in the last 24 hours.
Although the number of volcanic earthquakes is lower than the 21 quakes last Saturday, seismicity around the volcano remains active. Source: ph.news.yahoo.com
@_@ Be safe and prepared everyone.
What I've been upto these Days?
Yes, I have been very busy these past weeks. With the re launch of my Reyane Haven site and spending up my weekends on shipping orders and doing client meet-ups/pick up of their product orders. Right now, I have decided to stick to 2 products line on my site and so far, everything is going so well!
Reyane's Online Shoppe is an online business I solely own and run since September 2009. With a website hosted under multiply, started online selling a mix of brand new and pre-loved items with a goal to bring the nicest affordable bargain finds in the Metro to the convenience and limited time of a modern-independent Pinay. By February 2011, Reyane's Online Shoppe was launched in Facebook while I signed up as dealer of Philippine made organic beauty products from Gandang Kalikasan Inc's Human♥Nature . The e-shop is now focused on spreading the knowledge about Human♥Nature Organic Beauty Products and the advantages of using 100% organic items supporting an advocacy that is Pro-Philippines and Pro-environment and Pro-poor. Within the same month, I also found another product that seems like a miracle to the working Pinay. ✽Authentic Leisure 18 Slimming Coffee and Slimming Orange Juice which I used for 2 months and became 20 lbs lighter without diets and exercise. I am sharing the information about these awesome products on my online shoppe so go visit Reyanehaven.multiply.com or add my facebook business account Reyane Haven.
The downside is... I think I can no longer keep up with the Project 365 that I may have to pass on this project na. A full time day work while managing an online shop during weekends, writing for Echoserang Queen and FoodieThought blogs, attending events and press releases and keeping my Shih Tzu's hair clean are waaaaay over for my schedules na. I know I have sooo many blog backlogs that I needed to post bago pa sila mapanis. hahahaha... So keep on visiting my site my dear friends and I hope I can share with you in the coming days my product reviews about Human♥Nature and the benefits you can have when you finally decide to switch to organic and environmentally safe products.
And Oh! Yeah I miss you! *hugs*

BBC's "Toughest Place to Be" - A must watch for Every Filipino
This weekend, I was able to spare some time browsing the net and came upon some thought provoking videos about a program in the British Channel BBC titled The Toughest Place to be. I watched all six videos with almost 10 minutes each and was appalled with Philippine's condition. The second worker was sent to Manila, Philippines to perform his work as a bus driver.
His name was Josh West from London. After watching, I researched for the videos online and found out that BBC is only showing the programme in London. I wish these videos could also be shown in the Philippines to make all Filipinos realize how revolting it is to live in the conditions of being a very poor Filipino. I was deeply heartbroken watching it and wish that by sharing this videos would give our corrupt government a jolt and make them see how oppressed the poor are. I myself came from a poor family but got educated and is now living more decent than most Pinoys living in slums. After watching, I reflected much on my life and made me think that with all the challenges I face right now, I am still lucky than most people. Watch the videos below and make sure to finish all six and let me know what you think and feel about being a Filipino.
BBC's Toughest Place to be - A Bus Driver
In the second program in the series where British workers accept the challenge to do their jobs in some of the toughest conditions in the world, London bus driver Josh West heads to Manila, the capital of the Philippines and the most densely populated city on Earth. Josh will be driving a Jeepney, a colourfully decorated, adapted jeep which has no power steering, dodgy lights and an uncomfortable seat.
His host is Rogelio Castro and together they brave the chaos of the streets. It's a hair-raising and often hilarious ride, but Josh also learns about the incredible over-crowding and devastating poverty of Manila. He forms a strong bond with Rogelio and is moved by the daily struggle of an ordinary Filipino working to feed his family.
It's an emotional roller coaster and Josh returns a changed man, aware that all the separates his life from Rogelio's is the country he happened to be born in.

Three British workers. Experienced. Qualified. And looking for a challenge. They are on a quest to find out what it would be like to do their job under some of the toughest conditions on the planet.
These British workers travel to countries thousands of miles away, to live with local people, and do their own jobs, under some of the toughest conditions on earth.
Angie is a paramedic going to Guatemala, Josh a bus driver going to the Philippines and Suzanne is a midwife going to Liberia.

How to respond to Annoying questions?
What is the most annoying question that you have been asked lately? Mine was... "Biglaan ang wedding mo ah, pregnant ka?". Another question that I consider so effing annoying is ..."So, kelan kayo gagawa ng baby?" Tapos dadagdagan pa ng... "Ay, gumawa ka na para makahabol."
Ow em gee! @_@ I didn't know that marriage was a contest? Para ba itong Amazing Race na dapat paunahan makafinish ng challenges sa pitstop like securing the best groom or having the best wedding or getting pregnant the fastest?
Syet! Lest you would like to see the dragonessa in me... dont effing bring up those questions. My priorities are different from yours brotha'. Hindi lahat ng tao nagpapakasal because pregnant na si babae o pikot si lalake. I got married because I feel it was the right time!
Syet!... eff! eff! eff! and another syet! Why is it that Pinoys are so incosiderate and insensitive? Why can't all Pinoys know that there are certain topics na di dapat tinatanong sa mga kakilala nila else they'll get them upset or be considered nosy!
Why are some people in my life so feelingerong close and they don't even know when to ask the right questions. You need to know that some questions regarding age, weight, religion, salaries and how much people paid on things are considered way too personal! People get annoyed and bothered even if the person asking is their family.
Nasanay kase tayo sa kulturang Pilipino. These are some of the traits that I would like us to evetually get rid of. Being so chismoso and nagmamarunong sa buhay ng iba. Hindi ko tinatanong ang opinyon mo so keep your comments to your self. Magkaiba tayo ng priorities sa buhay ok so stop telling me what to do.
Finally, my husband and I will get pregnant when we feel the time is right. Case closed.
Meanwhile.... here are some of the most annoying questions and how to best answer them.
Q: Do you have a boyfriend yet?
A: “I’m juggling so many hot guys right now that it’s going to be a while before I decide to tie myself down.”
Q: When are you two going to have kids?
A: “We’re way too busy enjoying the honeymoon phase to think about that yet.”
Q: Did you lose weight?
A: “Thanks, it must just be a good week for me!”
Q: How much is your rent?
A: “I know, this place is fabulous. I’m so lucky to have gotten a really good deal on it. How’s your apartment?”
Q: How much do you make?
A: “I don’t really worry about my salary. It’s more important that I love my job.”
Q: Where’s that bag/top/pair of kick-ass pumps from?
A: “Oh this? I’ve had it for so long I can’t remember anymore.”
Q: You look so tired. (Okay, not really a question, just a beyond rude observation no one should ever make.)
A: “Actually, me and [insert name of your hook-up/boyfriend/husband here] were up kind of late last night. But it was sooo worth it.” Follow up with your best If-you-know-what-I-mean face.
The best way to answer...... is to answer without actually answering. Be pleasant but vague.

Reyane's Online Shoppe is back with Human Heart♥ Nature!
Happy February 20, 2011!
Today is the day that I re-launch my online shoppe Reyane Haven! I started this shoppe May 2009 wherein I opened offering pre-loved products, bargain finds and brand-new affordable bags. It was a hit! most of my products sold. However, I changed my career / day job that required me to adjust. I became hectic and somewhere along I was not able to update products and the online shoppe became stagnant.
So many exciting changes happened to me since the start of the year and I'm counting on my luck, my inspirations and my determination to succeed in this year of the rabbit 2011.
Allow me to introduce one of my projects and challenge this year. REYANE'S ONLINE SHOPPE is now in Facebook! Please like my page and receive updates on new and awesome products that I will be adding to the shoppe this year.
My goal is to bring to you a choice of the nicest products and bargain finds in the comfort of your home and time. Please check my photo albums. You might be interested with the awesome products I offer. Happy shopping!
Products that I am selling on my online shoppe are from, Human Heart♥ Nature.
My passion to be a dealer of Human Heart♥ Nature began when one of my pregnant best friend asked me if I know some organic products she can use. She started living healthy when she decided to get pregnant. As we know, some of the toiletries that we daily use are made of harmful chemicals. My friend wanted something that will not only keep her and her baby safe from harmful chemicals but also protect the environment. We both support this advocacy. Another officemate introduced me to Human Heart♥ Nature. She brought some sample products and I fell in love instantly with their luxury body scrub and body butter. The next day I dragged my Sweetypie♥ to Gandang Kalikasan Inc.'s head office to sign up as a dealer. I fell in love with the store and their products. Aside from the fact that they are 100% No Harmful Chemicals, the products are Philippine made and supports Gawad Kalinga. It is also note worthy that GKI's staff are approachable and kind. I left with a loot bag of products that I can't wait to share with my friends.
I will be uploading more awesome products meanwhile please click on this link and LIKE my page. It would be a great favor too if you would check and consider using the organic products in my albums.

Happy February 20!
Things Pinoys Need to Learn about "Personal Space"
The other day, I was so annoyed. Is it too O.C. for me to say that someone is invading my personal space? .... or some people just don't get it that they are standing "too close" that it is uncomfortable and irritating na?! Call me maarte, suplada or maldita but I really resent it when some people does not respect my personal space. It is an exception though if we have been bestfriend-close for years, or if you are one of my girlfriends/sisters, or if I had treated you as one of my confidantes or if you are part of my family.
What is personal space?
Personal space is the region surrounding a person which they regard as psychologically theirs. Invasion of personal space often leads to discomfort, anger, or anxiety on the part of the victim.
Personal space can also refer to the "comfort zone" around a person's body. This space varies from person-to-person, but is usually a distance of a few feet and changes according to one's relationship to the other person. If one person gets physically closer to the other person than that person can tolerate, the first person is "invading" the second one's "personal space."
Why do people violate personal space?
People violate personal space because it can be used as an act of intimidation, or sometimes people like to be close and they think that it is okay. Sometimes these people do not pay attention to boundaries and sometimes they just don't care.
Most people have a natural sense of appropriate physical difference and stay outside others' personal space, but a few deliberately invade the space as a way of dominating or intimidating. Some people may unintentionally enter another's personal space due to poor social skills, inadequate personal boundaries, or lack of awareness that the other person's zone of comfort may be larger than most. How do you step into someone's personal space?
There is no legal definition of "personal space." However, that being said, if a person continually and without provocation comes too close to you and gets within your personal "comfort zone" (e.g.: is "in your face" with menacing gestures, etc) it could be considered an assault if it is continually repeated and you feel physically threatened.

Winter Solstice
Something good happened yesterday. My only wish for Christmas was granted - to spend a perfect Christmas with Sweetypie♥. And hindi naman ako binigo ni Lord. On the way home in a cab ride, I saw na ang beautiful ng moon. Yun pala winter solstice.
Winter solstice! Yesterday marks the shortest length of daytime and the longest length of night time. Sunset is earlier and sunrise is a bit late. If you live in the northern hemisphere (say, Canada, Europe or USA), sunrise is approximately 8-9am and sunset is 4pm. If you live within or near the Arctic Circle, which lies 60 degrees above the equator, then you won’t see Mr. Sun. You have to wait for the next three months. Total darkness for the next three months. In other news, Australia, Argentina, south Brazil and New Zealand will be celebrating their Christmas and New Year at the beach. It’s summer in the southern hemisphere. Pretty cool, eh?

Nasal Congestion? Unclogged in 5 minutes with Drixine!
It was an event for Drixine Nasal Spray Decongestant. My mind and heart has been clogged by all negative and melancholic thoughts since Sweetypie♥ left that it affected my altruism and positivity in life. And as I've mentioned before, I always try to not vent my frustrations on this blog. When I read the invite to Drixine Nasal Decongestant, it's like a sign telling me to de-clogged my burdened heart and put all faith in Him. The event also lets the participants ride the ziplines at Zoom Tree Top Adventure. Mind you, I am afraid of heights but I confirmed right away that I will be joining. It will be fun to try zipline even for just once.
The event was held in Zoom Tree Top Adventure at Circulo Verde, Quezon City. I was really running a little late since I had to rush MoiMoi, my Shih Tzu to the vet. I will tell you more about that in a separate post. So then I took a cab ride to the venue. The venue was not that hard to find. Just go straight Calle Industria near Eastwood City and you will find an open field somewhat being developed into a posh subdivision.
So here I am, in a new event. Met some new acquaintances and bonding with bloggers Jeff, Carl, Jeman, Anton and Alex. It was a very fun event. We experienced the adrenaline rush. The ziplines rides are very fast!!! Much like how Drixine Nasal Spray unclogs stuffy nose. Quick, Fast and Easy!
| Click HERE to see a video of me screaming for my dear life riding this Silver Surfer zipline. |
| Yes, It's Sam YG! |
Mr. Raphael "Affie" Carpio- Brand Manger for Drixine gave a brief overview on what is Drixine while Dra. Natividad Almazan (Ears, Nose and Throat Specialist) gave a discussion about the components of Drixine such as Oxymetazoline and how very convenient a quick relief can be obtained in using the product. The event was hosted by Sam YG.
I never heard of Drixine before much less a nasal spray. How do you administer that? Isn't it awkward to do? Alex, another blogger volunteered to do a demo on how to properly use the nasal spray. And yes, it was less than 5 minutes and she felt already the effect of the medicine.
On next post, I shared some funny videos of myself trying to conquer my fear of heights. ^^
Why Is Everyone Putting Up Cartoon Profile Photos On FACEBOOK?
This campaign is to support the awareness on violence against children. The typical posts from the campaign reads:
"Change your facebook profile picture to a cartoon character from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until Monday, Dec 6, there should be no human faces on facebook, but an invasion of memories!
I have been having a great time recalling the cartoons and anime tv shows I grew up with. My profile pic is Rogue of Xmen series. I keep seeing alot of Naruto and other anime.
UPDATE: Another viral rumored started circulating the Facebook world that this stunt was started by a group of Pedophiles to lure children to accept their friend invites when they see cartoon pictures. Which is apparently NOT TRUE!!!. Click here.

PAWS Animal Blessing 2010
I am an animal lover. I have 2 dogs and would like to have more if my time, place and budget allows me to.
So when I received an invite from PAWS to attend the Animal Blessing 2010, I was happy. I can now have MoiMoi blessed. October is that time of the year when we celebrate the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and ecology.
PAWS, Eastwood Mall and Pet One invite you to bring your furry family members to be blessed during special Mass for the Animals at the Eastwood Open Park (in front of the new Eastwood Mall) on Sunday, October 3, at 5:00pm. Celebrant for this Mass is PAWS volunteer and animal lover, Rev. Fr. Joey Paras, SDB.
If you can come an hour earlier, please join us for the procession of the statue of St. Francis of Assisi around Eastwood which starts at 4pm.
Our advance greetings of a Happy Feast Day of St. Francis (Oct 4) to all animal lovers! We hope to see you at Eastwood Open Park on October 3! =) -The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

What is a blog and why do I blog?
I recently felt concerned at a comment a friend made on her blog.
So going back to my title.... what is a blog?
Blogs are websites that are organized by blog posts. Anyone with an idea can start a new blog with the click of a button and share individual news stories. Blogs should reflect your unique perspective. Blogs give people like us the power of the media.
So with that said, maybe we can reflect on what are the topics we could write about. Some blogs just contain emotional rumblings... some readers can relate to that... but have we learned anything? I can say that you write well and compose great paragraphs and coherent thoughts yeah. But after reading, did it help me in some ways?
After diving into the blogging fad, I guess we should also know how to make the most of our blog. For me, I always try to put myself in my reader's shoes as someone looking for information. My blog right now maybe a smorgasboard of information since I am fascinated about alot of things. But there are a few niches enumerated by Calvin at Most Lucrative Niches for Casual Blog that you will find helpful in your blog.
Here is a very informative video for those who have no idea what a blog is and how to start one.
Have a good day! ^_^
"With reyna's blog kasi parang DAPAT I-FOLLOW kasi sya palang kilala kong blogger. honestly, if she isn’t my friend, i wouldn’t link her here."Jeeesh! I never even asked her to link me up so why the comment like that? You have your free will naman to link kung sino gusto mo i link or not. She can remove me from her list and that will be fine with me. Di nya kelangan pilitin sarili nya just because she knows me.
I had to re read her blog post thrice to understand her opinions. Yeah, I get it. She was tired of seeing commercialized and monetized blogs. But I somehow felt it was a direct hit for me.
She wrote:
So I had to post a comment and react. I didn't think it would take this long.
I used to write just to rant. It was during the time when I was the only one reading my blog. I wrote useless pathetic diary like rants of how happy I was for a sweet corn, how tired I was of my call center job, how angry I was at my brother or how I hated my friend's boyfriend. Reading back, I'd think these anecdotes are funny.
Even if we say that people shouldn't judge other people, we can't change the fact that what we wrote today about some gross story about something we did before....... may somehow one day be used against us specially if one will think career wise. The internet is a powerful tool. To each our own kung anu anong info ang pwede naten i share sa world of blogging. But you also need to remember that Blogs are public space. It's like writing your story sa bulletin board where everyone can hear or read you. Nasa sa iyo ang decision if what you wrote is how you want to be portrayed to the world and if sa tingin mo your reader's can learn or benefit from everything you said. Some strong words you might say. Maybe I had to be mentioned in her blog and in her words "publicly criticized" to come out where I was hiding and blurt my brains out. Reading her post somehow gave me a challenge. I have been away from blogging for a month. Simply because I refuse to write while I was sad and emotionally stricken. I am still not ok. I am still lovesick.... but I will try to post more these coming days.
Why do I blog? After I bought my own domain and paid for space to be heard (or listened or read)...... I came to the decision to post only topics and infos that can de-clutter my head from work, bring smile to my readers and share infos of what I learned. Meeting a few blogging friends and getting invites and freebies from events are also a few of the added perks of blogging.
Chatting is different from blogging. Writing from the heart is also different from writing with content. If you are the only one reading your blog, keep a diary. If you need an update central for your friends, chatmates, and relatives keep a social networking site and post alot of pics. But if you would like to share and write infos worth of your reader's stay in your web space and keep them coming back because they like what you wrote and they learned something, maintain a blog with useful content.
If you wanna know more about me, in a very personal level, you should meet me in person. Coffee tayo and let's share stories. ^_^

The Benefits of Being Barefoot
When I was a child, I like playing "patintero" with my friends barefoot.
When I was a teenager, I love walking around the beach and feeling the sands in barefoot.
And now that I'm a working lady, whenever I get home, I like kickin' my black heels shoes and lounging in the house barefoot.
The Benefits of Being Barefoot
We have all been born barefoot. A long time ago, people have lived and survived without using protective footwear. But, today, because of technology and the many changes it brought, wearing shoes became an essential part of life. But beyond all the protection and the style shoes provide, we seem to have forgotten the significant benefits and sense of freedom being barefoot brings.
Shoes were first invented thousands of years ago—way back when people used to live in caves. Back then, they used animal hides and leather laces to protect their feet from the rough terrain. Millennia passed and the concept of shoes evolved in countless ways from its design, material, and even its uses. It became a necessity to shod oneself. However, no matter how things change, most people still prefer to do a lot of things barefoot. It is all because being barefoot is very comfortable. But, aside from the unrivaled relaxation being barefoot brings, it also has a considerable number of benefits, not just to the feet, but the body as a whole.
Doing activities barefoot brings a lot of advantages to the body’s flexibility and mobility. It allows people to exercise, stretch, relax, and strengthen muscles they normally don’t get to use when wearing shoes. Barefoot running also corrects the way people run—making them land on the balls of their feet—as compared to wearing rubber shoes which gives the tendency to land on the heels first. Landing on the heels of the feet releases more pressure and shock to legs and knees. Doing things barefoot also improves range of motion in ankles, feet, and toes because of movements that are more natural and free. It also heightens body awareness since the body has the sense of being freer than being shod. Balance and motion agility are also developed because doing things barefoot further stimulates the neurons and nerves that are essential to lower body movement. And because there are no heels to torture the foot heel and the ankle, it enhances natural posture and the alignment of the spine. And, most especially, it is much easier to relax and stretch after a workout if someone is barefoot.
Countless health benefits have been associated with being barefoot. That is why athletes, to attain better health and movement, prefer to do their sports without any footwear on. It is because when barefoot, movements become the movements of a child—playful and sensitive, yet purposeful and confident. A person experiences the unbound joy of stepping, hopping, and running across any surface on earth, simply to get from here to there. This is the reason why a lot of sports enthusiasts prefer to deal with their activities barefoot.
Numerous runners have been hitting the tracks without any shoes on because the benefits of running barefoot have long been supported by scientific research, coaches, and athletes who’ve offered ample evidence that training without shoes allows you to run faster and further with fewer injuries. Motion studies demonstrate that when running barefoot, one naturally lands on the forefoot, directly below the center of gravity. This results in optimum balance, increased stability, less impact, and greater propulsion.
Indeed, undertaking activities barefoot has a lot of benefits and advantages for the body. However, the feet—most especially those of the more active people—need to be protected from the many possibilities of injury. That is why some footwear are developed to mimic the feel and freedom of being barefoot. A good example would be the Vibram Five Fingers which is a proof that many people prefer to do things barefoot. With a slot for each of the toes, it actually gives all the freedom and feel of wearing no shoes on.
Many other innovations in footwear have been introduced into the market to make our feet as comfortable and relaxed as if barefoot. It is because it takes no genius to agree that—aside from the benefits of going barefoot—the feet has taken the humans a long long way and they deserve a break and the freedom.
The Vibram Five Fingers store is located at Level R1 Bridgeway in PowerPlant Mall, Rockwell. For inquiries, call (02) 513-1449 or e-mail marketing@barefootwearinc.com. You could also visit the official website at http://www.barefootwearinc.com/.
