Should you fear the BLACK MAMBA?

Who is The Black Mamba

The Black Mamba, starring Kobe Bryant, Kanye West, Bruce Willis, Danny Trejo is a Nike Basketball production, directed by Robert Rodriguez. This film brings Kobe's alter ego, the Black Mamba to life in a way that's never been seen before!

The Black Mamba highlights Kobe's everyday determination and "fight to the finish" spirit. The film also showcases Kobe as one of the best basketball players in the world featuring him as a protector of basketball as he fights off those wishing to destroy and attack the game.

Why WE SHOULD NOT FEAR THE BLACK MAMBA?

Basketball is Phillipines national sport baby! So why should any Pinoy hot blooded basketball fanatic fear anyone? Hell no! And with Kobe Bryant protecting the best sport in the universe against destroyers who else can defy that! Ha! ^_^

Watch the trailers below and see what I was talking (writing) about.

Silver Surfer Ride at Zoom Tree Top Adventure Quezon City

Silver Surfer ride
I talked about the Drixine event I attended. I've met some new friends and got to experience the thrill of riding a zipline. Here are some of the videos Carl from The WebMagazine took at the event. The Drixine event was held at Zoom Tree Top Adventure at Circulo Verde, Quezon City.
Me alone! @_@

Silver Surfer is a ride where in you stand on a hanging platform suspended less than 100 feet up which serves as your "surfboard" much like Silver Surfer. You can feel the rush during unexpected stops as you swing back and forth. It will cost you Php300.00 to ride this on a regular day.

Team Hoyt: Great Father and Son Running Team

I found a great father and son story today that brought tears and inspiration to me.

While some fathers abuse their kids or simply neglect them, here is one dad who never gave up on his son. And one son who, notwithstanding his physical condition, remained steadfast for his dad. I cannot imagine how much more Our Father up there would be willing to do or sacrifice -- for us. Nor can I fathom the faith of His Son who, willingly and wholeheartedly surrendered His life for His Father above.

I CAN do all things through Him who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13

Team Hoyt began in 1977 when Rick became inspired by an article on racing he saw in a magazine.[7] Dick Hoyt was not a runner and was nearly 37 years old. After their first race Rick said, “Dad, when I’m running, it feels like I’m not handicapped.” After their initial five mile run, Dick began running every day with a bag of cement in the wheelchair because Rick was at school and studying, unable to train with him.”[2] As of February 2008, the Hoyts had competed in 958 endurance events, including 65 marathons and six Ironman triathlons.[5] They had run the Boston Marathon 25 times.[8]
They also compete in triathlons in which Dick pushes Rick for the foot race, then with Rick sitting in a boat for the swim portion, Dick pulls him with a rope attached to his body.[5] For the cycle portion of the triathlon, Rick rides on the front of a specially designed tandem bike.[3]

Goal: 100 days - This is day 1

Yep! As I've said yesterday, I laced up my running shoes and took up my first steps. Last time I had the motivation, it only lasted 1 week. For now, I am only aiming for 100 days. A mimimum of 1-2 hour brisk walking everyday. This goal is to get me moving and stop being a couch potato. If I would be able to complete this, I will move on to joining running events! Yipeee! I love getting natural high. I went to this park near our place. It is a good place to do early morning exercises. I love the view and the pond.
I wish I could do jogging however, due to an ACL injury I had years ago, this it quite difficult for me. For now, I would just take simple steps and walk my way up to fitness. These are the points I had to take up for tomorrow's walk. I'm hoping these will help me get a better exercise tomorrow.
1. Before doing some exercises, do warm - up and stretching.
2. Drink 1 500ml bottle of water.
3. Start earlier than 6am because the sun rises early these days.
4. Bring sunglasses.
5. Upload more upbeat and dance music in my MP3.
6. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Yesterday, I also bought some gear to get me motivated. A friend told me to get clothes that are comfortable and "dry-cool" .
Hope you can help me stay motivated! Happy Mondays Everyone!!!

Adidas MiCoach Launch at Bonifacio High Street

I received an exclusive invite to attend the launch of Adidas MiCoach at Bonifacio High Street. A gadget that promises to make you "Run Yourself Better". It was a cool gadget like a virtual trainer that inspires runners to keep running based on their preferred program.

"Every runner is different, every heart is unique. Imagine having a personal trainer that listens to your heart and pushes you to your limit. MiCoach tracks your heart rate while you run, measures your time and distance and then give you real time audio feedback. Look better, feel better and be a better runner. "  - Adidas MiCoach
Yes, that is DJ Rico Robles of Monster Radio RX 93.1.
There was also a demo of how the Adidas MiCoach works.
At the end of the event, I was inspired to step into another challenge, lace up my running shoes and gear up into a healthy lifestyle. Last time I had the motivation, it only lasted a week. Now, I am hopeful that I can do this longer. By next month, I plan to join running events but before I do that I need to practice. Wish me luck!!!

Run Yourself Better

Will be attending this RSVP event from Adidas and Nuffnang later.
I'll see what I can find out.

Nonito Donaire wins vs. Rafel "El Torrito" Concepcion

We watched the GMA coverage of Donaire's fight against Rafael "El Torrito" Concepcion today even though delayed ang telecast. Hon is a boxing fan and eversince I started watching Pacquiao fights medyu na hook na din ako. I use to scream everytime Pacquaio fights but not on todays match. For me, mahina ang laban ni Donaire. Mas masigla pa nga mga punches at sugod ni Concepcion. Puro ilag at footwork ang galing na naipamalas ni Donaire. I was thinking na ang taga Panama ang mananalo but was surprised to see that no one from them back down and finished till the 12th round. Donaire wins via unanimous decision.
-- Donaire, nanalo via unanimous decision
