Philippine Issues Worth Commenting About

I've been in a short hiatus again from the blogosphere but it does not stop me in knowing the recent Philippine issues that are worth commenting about.

1. Willie Revillame's Immodest Comments on Pres. Cory Aquino's Funeral - I know this happened August 10 pa and I am way late but I can't help but vent out my 2 cents worth of comment. I watched the video below and inis at galit unang naramdaman ko. I am not a fan but I watch his show every afternoon. Nakikisabay ako ng tawa sa mga nakakatuwang comments at Pinoy participants nya sa show. But the recent comments he made againts Pres. Cory's funeral ay hindi nakakatuwa. Oo, nandyan ka na, it is very hard to make your audience and viewers happy and dance to the tune of "Nobody But You" kung may naka inset nga namang funeral sa screen. But the way you delivered those lines and tirade is a very insult to the Filipino people who help make you propel to stardom to where you are now. Hambog at walang utang na loob. I've read somewhere that days before he made these comments, Henry Lopez was thanking Pres. Cory Aquino for the democracy she fought for and helped give back ABS-CBN to the Lopezes. Feeling mo ngayun Willie ikaw ang may ari ng ABS? He could have waited till the commercial to comment about the inset to his staff and producers but he didnt heck and just vent out those unbashful comments. Nakakahiya.

2. Pres. Arroyo's Almost $20,000.00 Dinner while the Pinoy's Mourn the Death of the Most Modest Philippine President - I was appalled to know this issue na habang nagluluksa ang buong bansa sa pagkawala ng isang Presidenteng namuhay ng napakasimple bagkus sa kanyang mataas na estado sa buhay (you do know that the Cojuangcos are rich right?) eto namang si PGMA, nagbubuhay reyna sa kanyang US Visit at kumakain sa masasarap at mamahaling restaurant sa New York with Caviar at expensive Wine. Oo nga't madami silang delegasyon na nag punta doon sa trip na yon. Oo nga't nakakahiya namang pakainin ang Presidente ng Pilipinas sa burger stands at chipipay na resto sa New York. Pero sana man lang ay naisip ng Presidente at mga kasama nyang Congressman na inappropriate ang timing for a very expensive dinner celebration. The dinner was held a few hours before they left for Manila to pay their respects to Pres. Aquino at the Manila Cathedral on August 5. Dyoskow naman! Alam mong naghihirap ang bansa mo at maraming Pinoy ang di na kumakain sa kawalan ng trabaho nakuha mo pang lunukin ang caviar na ganyan kamahal?!

3. Office of the President's Bid to buy a New Jetplane - Of course Bilyones na namang pera ang gagastusin sa bagong jetplane na ito para lang masuportahan ang pag to tour around the world sa mga "official and business visits daw" ng Pangulo. Ang perang gagamitin ay san pa manggagaling kundi sa tax na binabayaran ko, binabayaran mo at binabayaran ng madaming Pilipino na kanilang pinaghihirapan araw araw. Pera na sana'y itinustos na lang sa libreng edukasyon at gamot, maayos na facilidad at pabahay sa mga Pilipino at pagkain sa mga mahihirap. Inconsiderate!

MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE) President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has cancelled an order for a presidential jet amid public outrage over her alleged extravagant lifestyle during a financial crisis, her spokesman said Sunday.

The make and price of the aircraft were not disclosed but her spokesman, Cerge Remonde, said Arroyo "does not want more criticism about her spending."

"I am formally announcing the president has ordered the cancellation of the purchase of a presidential jet," Remonde said. - Arroyo Scraps Plan to Buy New JetPlane

4. Philippine Government Officials spends Millions on Infomercials - Isa na namang isyung ka heller helleeerrr! Haizzz... Di ba kayo nagsasawa sa kapapanood ke "Boy Bawang" na dating "Mr. Palengke at Mr. Padjak"? Eh anu namang comment nyo sa Pag Ibig at Puno? at sa "Ganito Kami sa .... " ?
