- Make them feel like they're not the only one who….
- Predict what will happen next.
- Collate what other people say about….
- Inspire them.
- Give them a project to go away and do.
- Give them a sense of belonging.
- Explain what something means.
- Summarize a topic or issue.
- Intrigue them.
- Introduce them to someone of interest.
- Tell them your opinion.
- Link to something that they need to see or read.
- Share something they can relate to.
- Provide with a list of resources.
- Stimulate them to enter into a dialogue or debate.
- Give them a point of view that is different from the rest.
- Encourage them to keep going through something they are finding tough.
- Keep them up to date with the latest news or developments in a field of interest.
- Guide them through a process.
- Solve a problem that they have.
In summary, bloggers must write interesting topics that would catch readers attention, make them think, disagree or give them topics that would as well benefit them. If you write crappy entries, why would your readers come back? Always write with a purpose.
